Bring a Ding!an education project
Old mobile phones, dusty dolls, broken skateboards? 23 Swiss school kids explore and explain the life and personal meaning of everyday objects ("Dinge"), which have become useless, unloved, or simply don’t shine any more. In a temporary repair-workshop in an old warehouse they work closely with designers – to give these objects a new purpose and/or meaning. The work-in-progress is transformed into an exhibition, which the teenagers themselves present to an interested audience (Team: Katharina Altemeier, project partner: Gesamtschule Drei Linden, special support: Camilla Schuler, Tina Schnörringer; sponsored by kult & Co/education projects, Basel).
